A Graco Carseat Base is adjustable and also convertible from rear to forward facing positions

When you purchase a Graco car seat, you should look at the Graco car seat base. This feature allows you to remove the car seat from the base and use it in a Graco stroller when you have an infant that cannot yet sit alone. It also fits easily into a shopping cart, so you can take the infant to the mall with you without having to bring along the stroller.

The Graco car seat base has an indicator that lets you know when the car seat is securely attached to the base when you replace it in the car. There is also a red recliner button on the front of the carseat base that raises and lowers the base of the car seat to make sure that it adjusts to the seat of your car and is secure.

The Graco Snugride base easily allows the car’s seat belt to fit through. When you want to remove the car seat from the base all you have to do is press firmly on the red handle release and lift the carseat out. When you want to put the car seat back on the base, you simply reattach it and press until you hear the click that lets you know it is secure on the carseat base.

The harness system of a car seat in the Graco line is adjustable so that it fits an infant just as well as it does an older child. Remember that for an infant the car seat should be facing toward the rear. You can pull the straps of the harness through the metal bar in the back until they are snug against the child and there are two harness adjustments for the child’s height.
